About KBR and the Project

KBR, Inc. is providing PMO services, enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration, and performance oversight for a major infrastructure program in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This program supports a mixed-use development designed to be a global landmark and a self-sustaining hub, featuring several iconic assets within Riyadh.

The Role of Senior Risk Manager

The Senior Risk Manager, reporting to the Project Controls Director, is responsible for delivering portfolio-wide risk management services. This role supports effective governance, decision-making, and assurance across the entire portfolio, ensuring alignment with approved risk policies, frameworks, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and administer the approved Risk Management Plan (RMP), including associated procedures, processes, and templates.
  • Review and supervise Risk Management Plans and risk registers from PMCs to ensure consistency with the overall Risk Management Plan.
  • Support the implementation and effective utilization of risk management systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to PMCs to ensure consistent and effective application of risk management practices.
  • Facilitate risk meetings and develop Risk Registers for Delivery Programmes and client departments.
  • Facilitate mitigation strategies for risks and issues through the consolidation of risk registers, meetings, and workshops.
  • Consolidate PMC risk registers into programme-level and departmental risk registers for escalation and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain updated dashboards for risks and issues across the entire Development Portfolio.
  • Conduct monthly risk management quality assurance reviews and provide status updates.
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis (QRA) for programme-wide strategic, cost, schedule, and advance-warning risks.
  • Develop cost and schedule contingency assessments at both programme and portfolio levels.
  • Support operational risk assessments across client departments.
  • Prepare risk assessment documentation and reports in accordance with Risk Management Plan standards.
  • Report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across the Development, aligning with established criteria.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess more than 10 years of relevant experience in risk management within large-scale projects or programs.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to a significant infrastructure development project.
