The Opportunity: Senior Roads Engineer

ARX is expanding its operations in the Middle East with offices in the UAE and KSA, strengthening its presence in the dynamic GCC market. For its office in Riyadh, ARX is seeking a Senior Roads Engineer. This full-time role involves contributing to significant infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on roads and highway design. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in this field, particularly within the KSA market.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the design of roads and highways for various infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, pavement design, and other engineering analyses required for road systems.
• Ensure all road designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Coordinate road levels, corridors, crossings, junctions, and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
• Review designs and technical deliverables prepared by engineers, designers, and the BIM/CAD team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on roads and highways.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems, including design and construction practices.
• Strong knowledge of relevant KSA codes, standards, and authority requirements.

Technical Proficiency and Language

• Proficiency in relevant engineering design software such as Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus.
