About the Role

* Renal Care Saudi Arabia is seeking a Social Worker Locum to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves providing essential psychosocial services, including assessment, counseling, and support, to patients undergoing dialysis treatment and their families. The Social Worker will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans addressing patients' emotional, social, and practical needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform psychosocial assessments, counseling, and referrals for patients.
Recommend interventions based on psychosocial assessment findings and counsel patients and families on identified issues.
Provide various casework and group work social services to patients and their families.
Identify and connect patients with appropriate social agencies and resources, including financial or funding sources like Kelana and private insurance.
Submit monthly reports to the Nursing Supervisor regarding the financial status of dialysis patients.
Deliver rehabilitative and supportive social work services under physician direction to restore patients to optimal levels of social health.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation for patient records.
Advise and consult with family, physicians, and other personnel regarding the social, emotional, and environmental needs related to the patient’s health condition.
Develop and update care plans in consultation with the physician, adjusting based on patient response to treatment.
Assist patients with appropriate medication assistance programs and conduct home visits as required by MOH regulations.
Respond to patients with empathy, promoting a positive mental attitude and commitment.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to establish and revise long-term care plans.
Provide patient education tailored to individual needs and participate in patient care rounds or meetings regularly.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient/family communication and interactions in accordance with company policy.
Comply with Saudi regulations and MOH guidelines concerning social service and patient eligibility.
Promote constructive problem-solving within the facility and actively participate in the QAPI process.
Attend all staff meetings and in-services relevant to the job and perform KDQOLs as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills

Strong psychosocial assessment and counseling abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy in patient interactions.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Knowledge of social agencies, financial resources, and relevant regulations (MOH).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation in patient care rounds and adherence to all company and regulatory guidelines.
