About the Role

Saudi Airlines Catering Company is seeking a Specialist, Central Laboratory to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the safety and quality of food products through comprehensive chemical testing and analysis.

Role Overview

The Specialist, Central Laboratory is responsible for conducting chemical testing on raw materials, ingredients, and final food products. This role ensures that all items satisfy established safety regulations, identifies any potential health or quality control issues requiring corrective action, and actively participates in various research and experimental activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of laboratory tests and execute routine tasks accurately, adhering to strict methodologies for analyses.
Receive, label, prepare, and analyze samples according to established protocols.
Design and execute laboratory testing in line with standard procedures and ISO 17025 requirements, meticulously recording observations.
Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
Organize and store all chemical substances, standards, and glassware in strict accordance with safety instructions.
Record all data and results accurately and responsibly in specified forms, both paper and electronic.
Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in the procurement and ordering of necessary laboratory supplies.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety guidelines at all times, maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
Submit results for approval from laboratory management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, ideally with a focus on chemical testing within the food industry or a related field.

Compliance and Laboratory Standards

The Specialist will play a key role in upholding the highest standards of laboratory practice. This includes rigorous adherence to ISO 17025 requirements for testing and calibration laboratories, as well as maintaining strict compliance with all internal and external safety guidelines to ensure a secure and efficient working environment.
