The Role of HR Operations Specialist

The Specialist, HR Operations, based in Riyadh, contributes to the implementation of Human Capital strategic initiatives. This full-time role involves supporting areas such as employee relations, training, project management, recruitment, induction, talent management, compliance, business improvement, compensation, and internal communications. The position also entails coordinating and approving benefit requests, investigating employee incidents, and ensuring corrective actions are taken, with a focus on operational excellence within the scope of control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate incidents and violations of company rules and regulations by employees, including gathering details from supervisors and interviewing employees to determine reasons for violations. Forward documentation and findings to the Head Office HR department for further action.
  • Implement approved corrective guidance actions, such as issuing warning letters with necessary explanations.
  • Coordinate employee leave requests between the Mine and Head Office, ensuring policy compliance, obtaining approvals, and disbursing approved requests.
  • Follow up on applications for exit and re-entry visas and residence permits for non-Saudi staff, including periodic inquiries to the Jeddah office regarding application status.
  • Contribute to safety goals through training and reinforcement initiatives.
  • Perform various administrative personnel activities, including liaising with Head Office or Mine employees regarding bank loan applications, coordinating personnel ground transportation, implementing salary action procedures, and compiling GOSI and other reports.
  • Review all leave requests (holiday, sick, etc.) for Ma'aden employees against entitlements, referring to individual contracts, policy, procedures, and Labor Law as necessary.
  • Approve entitlements within appropriate guidelines and ensure timely processing of applicable payments, overtime, and deductions.
  • Communicate training and development needs to the Head Office.
  • Coordinate various payments/deductions with HR Riyadh, including vacations and advance payments.
  • Coordinate various recruitments with Riyadh Recruitment, including handling personnel requisitions, screening applications, coordinating interviews with line department heads, and processing selected candidates for employment.
  • Process termination procedures in accordance with individual contracts, company policy, procedures, and Labor Law.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
