About the Storekeeper/Receiving Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh is seeking a full-time Storekeeper/Receiving associate to join their team. This role is open to Saudi nationals only and requires 0-1 years of experience. The position involves managing incoming merchandise, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

The Storekeeper/Receiving associate will be responsible for the efficient handling of all incoming goods. This includes receiving deliveries, inspecting items for quality and accuracy, and properly storing them. Key duties involve:

• Receiving and staging merchandise by department.
• Marking merchandise appropriately for placement within the facility.
• Delivering merchandise to the correct departments.
• Stacking received merchandise on pallets or carts.
• Completing requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Notifying management of low stock levels in a timely manner.
• Properly storing perishable items and rotating stock.
• Inspecting deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality.
• Refusing acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Adhering to food safety and handling policies and procedures in all food-related areas.
• Organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, food equipment, and drains.
• Removing empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, and placing them in designated storage areas.

General Duties and Professional Conduct

In addition to specific receiving duties, the role requires adherence to company policies and professional conduct. This includes:

• Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Completing required safety training and certifications.
• Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protecting company assets and maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Communicating with guests and co-workers using clear and professional language.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with team members.
• Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Abilities

This role involves physical tasks and requires the ability to perform them effectively. Essential physical requirements include:

• Reading and visually verifying information in various formats.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or entire work shifts.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigating narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
