About the Storekeeper Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh is seeking a full-time Storekeeper to manage inventory and support hotel operations. This entry-level position requires minimal to no prior experience, offering an opportunity to develop foundational skills in logistics and supply chain management within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and organize merchandise by department, ensuring proper placement within the facility.
• Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts.
• Complete request forms for stock and supplies.
• Promptly notify the manager or supervisor of low stock levels.
• Receive deliveries, store perishable products appropriately, and rotate stock.
• Inspect deliveries and dates to verify the freshness, cleanliness, soundness, and quality of all case lots.
• Reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and handling policies and procedures for all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cartons, and refuse and place them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; conduct training and obtain safety certifications.

General Duties and Professional Conduct

• Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate with guests and colleagues using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks including, but not limited to, stretching, bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, flipping, and manipulating objects. The position involves climbing and descending stairs and service ramps, as well as moving, lifting, or transporting objects weighing 50 pounds or less. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods is also a requirement.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certification.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required for this position.
