The Role of Structural Technician

Saudi Constructioneers (SAUDICO) is seeking a Structural Technician to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for supporting structural engineering activities by preparing and reviewing structural drawings, and assisting in the monitoring of concrete and steel works execution in accordance with approved designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Structural Technician will undertake a range of tasks to ensure the accuracy and compliance of structural works, including:

• Preparing shop drawings and detailed drawings for concrete and structural steel works.
• Reviewing structural drawings, reinforcement details, and execution specifications.
• Coordinating structural drawings with architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings to identify potential conflicts.
• Assisting in inspecting reinforcement, formwork, and structural steel works on-site.
• Assisting in preparing reinforcement bar bending schedules.
• Updating drawings based on consultant comments and site modifications.
• Preparing as-built drawings for completed structural works.
• Assisting in identifying drawing conflicts and proposing appropriate technical solutions.
• Maintaining drawing records and tracking revisions and issued versions.
• Complying with approved quality, health, and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Structural Technician position should meet the following requirements:

• 0-1 years of experience in structural drafting, construction support, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of concrete and structural steel works and relevant specifications.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Structural Technician will work within a project-focused environment, collaborating with engineering and site teams to ensure project success.
