About the Supply Chain Internship

Raytheon Australia, a subsidiary of RTX, is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join its team in Riyadh. This internship offers hands-on exposure to material planning, supplier data coordination, and cross-functional collaboration within the aerospace and defense sectors. The role is designed for students interested in gaining practical experience in a global supply chain environment.

Role Overview and Objectives

This internship is intended for students pursuing Supply Chain studies who wish to gain experience in a dynamic work environment. Interns will be expected to demonstrate initiative and engage in self-directed learning within a supportive team structure. The program aims to develop foundational skills in supply chain operations and contribute to strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities

• Support the evaluation of supplier capabilities, development plans, and tracking of effectiveness.
• Assist in analyzing supplier base data, identifying market trends, and business needs using data analysis tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and project teams, to enhance supplier engagement.
• Assist in supplier meetings, tracking action plans, and ensuring timely follow-ups on development initiatives.
• Support the assessment of supplier risks and the development of mitigation strategies.
• Develop communication skills by participating in team meetings and interacting with stakeholders.
• Understand material planning, demand management, and supplier data tracking.
• Assist in updating the regional supplier database and extracting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Learn to identify material bottlenecks and prepare risk summaries.
• Gain experience using Power BI or Excel-based dashboards for data presentation.
• Undertake a small project to apply learned skills and contribute tangible outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an emphasis in supply chain, engineering, business administration, or a related field.

• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work across diverse organizations and teams.
• Proficiency in both written and oral Arabic and English is required for effective communication.
