About the Role: Sustainability Manager

AECOM is seeking a Sustainability Manager to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the development and execution of comprehensive sustainability initiatives. The role requires a strategic and analytically-minded individual committed to environmental and social responsibility, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals.

Purpose of the Position

The Sustainability Manager will drive organizational change through data-driven decision-making and effective stakeholder collaboration. This pivotal role focuses on integrating sustainable practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The successful candidate will play a key part in fostering a culture of sustainability within AECOM's operations in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee sustainability strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local and international sustainability standards, certifications, and regulations.
• Manage sustainability projects from conception through completion, including budget allocation and resource planning.
• Engage with internal departments and external stakeholders to identify sustainability opportunities and drive organizational change.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives through key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement processes.
• Develop and deliver training programs to build organizational awareness and capacity around sustainability practices.
• Research emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to the industry and region.
• Collaborate with supply chain partners to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact.
• Prepare sustainability reports and communications for corporate leadership, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience

• 15 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and a strategic mindset for developing and executing sustainability initiatives.
• Commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
• Ability to drive organizational change through data-driven decision-making and effective stakeholder collaboration.
