Tax and Insurance Senior Accountant

About the Role

Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co is seeking a Tax and Insurance Senior Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for managing the company’s tax compliance and insurance activities, ensuring all requirements are fulfilled accurately and on time. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies and insurance partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s tax compliance and insurance activities.
• Ensure all tax requirements are fulfilled on a timely basis.
• Maintain strong relationships with ZATCA, insurance brokers, and insurance companies.

Tax and Zakat Accountabilities

• Prepare all tax and Zakat returns and declarations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Calculate and record tax provisions and related journal entries.
• Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes and Zakat.
• Extract all necessary reports for preparing tax and Zakat returns.
• Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist the Tax and Treasury Manager with month-end and year-end closing requirements.
• Support the Tax and Treasury Manager during tax inspections.
• Collaborate closely with the tax and Zakat consultant.
• Prepare tax reports and schedules.

Insurance Accountabilities

• Support the Treasury and Tax Manager in monitoring all insurance policies and ensuring timely renewal without risk of non-renewal.
• Assist the Treasury and Tax Manager in negotiating insurance policy renewals to secure optimal terms and premiums.
• Prepare and record all insurance journal entries in the accounting system.
• Track all insurance claims diligently and ensure close follow-up with the insurance broker for timely closure and collection.
• Prepare comprehensive insurance reports by type, open claims, and other relevant metrics.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in tax and insurance accounting roles.
