Faculty Position in Chemistry

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position within its Department of Chemistry. We are seeking qualified Saudi candidates for the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, based on experience and qualifications. This role is situated in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on contributing to both research and teaching within the university.

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to be available for professional duties for approximately 35-40 hours per week. Key responsibilities for this faculty role include:

• Delivering high-quality teaching to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conducting impactful research and contributing to the academic output of the department.
• Providing academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Performing administrative duties as assigned by the academic department.
• Undertaking any other academic duties required by the concerned department.

Required Specializations

Applicants should possess a strong specialization in one of the following fields of Chemistry:

• Inorganic Chemistry
• Chemical Physics
• Analytical Chemistry
• Industrial Chemistry

Qualifications and Academic Requirements

Candidates must meet the following essential qualifications to be considered for this position:

• An earned degree from a reputable university in the relevant field of Chemistry.
• Full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees obtained with very good academic grades.
• A certificate equivalency is required if the academic degree was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
