Finance SME Trading (Crude Products & Commodities) (downstream)

About the Role

emagine is seeking a Finance SME Trading (Crude Products & Commodities) for a full-time position in Dhahran, Eastern region. This Senior Manager / Director equivalent role focuses on ensuring the finance data model and reporting design accurately capture the economics of crude and product trading, including both physical and paper transactions.

Role Objective and Context

The primary objective of this role is to understand the financial implications of trading activities within the downstream sector. The position involves critical workstreams focused on the finance data model and reporting & segmentation design, ensuring robust financial capture and reporting for trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture current trading finance, P&L attribution, and reporting practices.
• Define trading-related dimensions, including book/desk, strategy, counterparty/trading partner, and revenue type.
• Advise on mark-to-market, derivatives, and hedge accounting (IFRS 9) impacts on the GCOA and reporting.
• Define intercompany/transfer pricing principles between trading, refining, and marketing.
• Validate segment profitability views.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance.
• At least 8 years of experience specifically within energy trading.
• Demonstrated experience at a Senior Manager or Director equivalent level.

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Eastern region, focusing on critical financial modeling and reporting within the downstream sector.
