About the Role

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is seeking a dedicated Graduate Assistant in Civil and Environmental Engineering to join its Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering in Dhahran. This full-time position is open to potential Saudi candidates who hold a bachelor's degree and are looking to contribute to academic and research initiatives within a leading institution.

Role Overview

The Graduate Assistant role is designed for individuals at the start of their professional journey, typically with 0-1 year of experience, who are keen to engage in both research and teaching activities. This position provides an opportunity to support the department's academic mission while developing foundational skills in a university environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to commit approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out assigned teaching duties.
• Conducting research under the guidance of faculty members.
• Providing academic advising to students.
• Performing various administrative duties as required by the department.
• Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the concerned academic department.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:

• An earned bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in a relevant field of study.
• Completion of a full-time bachelor’s degree program with very good academic grades.
• Possession of a certificate equivalency if the bachelor's degree was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Work Commitment

This is a full-time position requiring a consistent presence and engagement with departmental activities. The role is structured to support both the academic and research functions of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
