About the Role

Aviation JobSearch Europa is seeking experienced Mechanical Aircraft Technicians for a contract opportunity in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This role is part of a major RSAF Tornado maintenance program, supporting a large operational Tornado fleet within a professional and regulated aviation environment. You will join a skilled engineering team focused on aircraft and component maintenance, including inspections, repairs, modifications, servicing, overhaul activities, and fault diagnosis to ensure aircraft availability and operational capability. This position offers the chance to work on an iconic military aircraft platform, and while previous Tornado experience is advantageous, it is not essential. Engineers from diverse military and civilian aircraft maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft and component maintenance activities in accordance with approved technical procedures and maintenance standards.
• Install, repair, service, modify, inspect, and test aircraft systems and components.
• Conduct component inspections, evaluations, repairs, overhauls, and modifications.
• Maintain strict tool control and engineering standards.
• Manage spare parts requirements through the logistics system.
• Support aircraft serviceability and operational readiness, including aircraft generation and maintenance recovery actions.
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
• Maintain valid and current authorisations relevant to assigned tasks.
• Proactively identify training requirements for self and team members.
• Provide technical guidance and support where required.
• Assist with engineering problem-solving activities.
• Maintain compliance with technical publications and engineering procedures.
• Support FOD prevention and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to all SHE and Product Safety requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification aircraft maintenance experience supported by formal training.
• Alternatively, successful completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship program.
• Relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Human Factors trained.
• Current driving licence.
• A strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and engineering documentation.
• Experience working within military or commercial aviation maintenance environments.

Work Environment and Details

This is a full-time contract role based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, within the Eastern Region. The position requires 5-10 years of experience. Successful candidates will be provided with accommodation, flights, visa support, and weekly payments.
