About the Role

Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. is seeking a Safety Steward to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role involves supporting a safe and compliant working environment by identifying potential hazards, promoting safe work practices, and assisting with the implementation of health and safety procedures. The Safety Steward will ensure that all activities comply with applicable safety requirements and organizational procedures.

Role Overview

The Safety Steward conducts safety observations, reports hazards and incidents, and supports safety inspections. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate safety records and documentation, and for contributing to safety awareness activities within the organization. The role requires a proactive approach to occupational health and safety to ensure a secure workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and observations to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Promote safe working practices and encourage employees to follow established health and safety procedures.
• Assist with implementing and monitoring safety procedures, policies, and preventive measures.
• Support incident investigations and assist in identifying corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in safety meetings, awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and relevant training activities.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and other required safety records.
• Monitor the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and report any observed deficiencies.
• Support compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• A degree or academic background relevant to occupational health and safety, environmental health, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Recognized professional safety certifications or relevant safety training are required.
• Completion of an OSHA 30-Hour course or NEBOSH certification is required.

Required Skills

• Ability to identify workplace hazards and understand basic risk assessment and safety control measures.
• Ability to prepare and maintain safety reports, records, and documentation.
