Engineer Technician HVAC

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Engineer-Technician-HVAC to join their team in Medina. This full-time position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal property temperature and energy efficiency. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant and monitor property temperature.
• Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage to identify areas for efficiency.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other relevant equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, recommending and implementing improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical activity including reaching overhead and below the knees, moving in confined or elevated spaces, and navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. It also involves moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders. Candidates must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, assist with moving objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds, and independently move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2-5 years of related work experience.
• Certifications: EPA Universal Certification, HVAC Certification.
• License: Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
