General Cashier

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a General Cashier for a full-time position in Medina. This role is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and integrity within the organization, focusing on the meticulous handling of cash and financial records. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy in entry, mathematics, and coding.
• Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and generate reports as specified.
• Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain, distribute, and record petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts.
• Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all cash variances in accordance with SOPs.
• Serve as a liaison between the property and armored car services or primary banking institutions.
• Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Protect company assets and safeguard the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
• Communicate professionally, prepare accurate written documents, and ensure clear understanding of tasks among coworkers.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Undertake other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant financial or cashiering role.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
• Proficiency in organizing and maintaining financial records.
• Familiarity with computerized financial information systems.
