Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join its team in Medina. This full-time role is integral to ensuring the proper functioning of facilities and equipment, contributing to a high standard of guest experience.

Role Overview

The Maintenance Helper is responsible for performing various minor repairs and executing preventive maintenance tasks across the property. This position requires strict adherence to safety standards, maintaining a professional appearance, and providing excellent service to guests while supporting the overall operational efficiency of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains and toilets, and fixing leaky stoppers or faucets.
• Execute various minor repairs such as adjusting toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and repairing holes in walls.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and lubrication.
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with team members, listening and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function and maintenance needs.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance.
• Provide assistance in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing more than 100 pounds (*, air conditioning units, televisions, vanities).
• Ascend and descend regular stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders safely.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights.

Qualifications and Experience
