Technician Painter

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Technician Painter to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role involves applying various finishes to property surfaces and maintaining painting equipment, ensuring high standards of appearance and safety within the hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and post relevant paint signs.
• Clean and properly store paint, painting tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Service and Teamwork

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of moving up and down a ladder.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in painting or a related field. The role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
