About the Accounts Payable Accountant Role at Apsco

Apsco is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and plays a crucial role in managing the company's accounts payable operations efficiently and accurately.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounts payable activities. This involves ensuring the precise processing of invoices, maintaining strict compliance with IFRS and ZATCA requirements, and effectively scheduling payments. The role also requires strong coordination with suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping.

Core Responsibilities

• Process invoices accurately and perform regular vendor account reconciliations.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, VAT, ZATCA requirements, and established internal controls.
• Support cash flow planning initiatives and assist with payment scheduling.
• Contribute to month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of accruals and financial reporting.
• Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and auditors.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate accounts payable records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an accounts payable role. A strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly IFRS, VAT, and ZATCA regulations, is essential for success in this role.
