Agriculture Engineer

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking an experienced Agriculture Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves integrating agricultural and environmental considerations into the design and implementation phases of construction projects, specifically focusing on steel structure buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to integrate agricultural and environmental considerations into the design of steel structure buildings.
• Evaluate and propose agricultural systems that align with project goals and environmental sustainability.
• Conduct comprehensive soil analysis to determine suitability for farming and landscaping around the building.
• Implement soil management strategies for optimum land use and fertility enhancement.
• Design and implement efficient irrigation systems to support landscaping and agricultural components.
• Propose water conservation strategies and water management techniques suitable for the project's landscape.
• Identify and select plants, trees, and greenery that align with aesthetic and environmental objectives.
• Advise on environmentally friendly practices and technologies to support sustainability goals.
• Develop strategies for ecological preservation and biodiversity enhancement within the project scope.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and landscape designers to integrate agricultural components seamlessly.
• Coordinate with construction supervision teams to ensure successful implementation of agricultural elements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in agricultural engineering, with a preference for experience in construction supervision projects.
• Strong knowledge of soil science, water management, and irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices in agriculture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is considered an advantage.
