About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Manager - Systems to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time role is open to Saudi nationals only and involves supporting the property’s technology Information Resources (IR) objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance, while also serving as a key interface with vendors, owners, and property staff.

Core Responsibilities

• Utilize computer systems, hardware, and software for programming, software development, function setup, data entry, and information processing.
• Assist in the acquisition and ongoing maintenance of property-based systems.
• Analyze information to identify current and potential problems, proposing effective solutions.
• Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of equipment.
• Monitor computer and network operations, ensuring scheduled backup/recovery functions are executed and administration for hardware, operating, and application systems is consistently maintained.
• Support the management of IR activities to ensure continuous functionality of the property's infrastructure and application systems.
• Administer and maintain mail and email systems.
• Manage and maintain inventories of IT hardware and software.
• Provide Internet support and maintenance as applicable.
• Offer cable management support.
• Assist with the introduction of new applications, providing user tips, alerting users to system problems, and communicating progress or status updates.
• Consult on specific application issues or hardware/software problems.
• Monitor processes and evaluate information in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOP).
• Ensure compliance with IR policies and standards designed to protect company hardware, software, and other property resources.

Information Systems and Technology Goals

• Assist in assessing needs and monitoring compliance with brand-specific technology standards.
• Aid in reporting and tracking system problems, ensuring users are informed of the situation and resolution progress.
• Support asset management activities.
• Assist with on-site monitoring of technology projects.
• Stay technically current and apply new knowledge to work-related issues.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
• Provide essential technical expertise and support to the team and property.

Additional Duties

• Communicate information to supervisors and co-workers via telephone, written form, email, or in person.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to determine optimal solutions and resolve problems.
• Assist in vendor management for property IT requirements, acting as an escalation point for problem resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in systems support or a similar technology-focused role. This position is designated for Saudi nationals only.
