Role Overview

Calo is seeking a Chef De Partie – Bakery to join its team in Jeddah, KSA Operations. This full-time role involves working alongside the Head Chef to manage the bakery section, which includes preparing baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation, managing inventory, and supervising junior bakery staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong bakery background and demonstrate creativity in pastry, breads, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of the bakery section while maintaining Calo's quality standards.
• Lead the bakery team in a timely and organized manner.
• Provide coverage for the Head Baker or Section Lead as required.
• Resolve bakery-related issues and maintain workflow continuity.
• Manage and train bakery staff, create work schedules, and assess performance.
• Communicate tasks and expectations clearly to team members.
• Order and manage bakery inventory appropriately.
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers.
• Produce high-quality baked goods, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef De Partie (CDP) in a bakery environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the hospitality sector, preferably in bakery, pastry, or dessert production.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a hotel, restaurant, or bakery setting.
• Must be currently present in KSA.
• Proficient in English.
