Concrete Structure Design Manager

About the Role

Rawafid Alhadara is seeking an experienced Concrete Structure Design Manager to lead and support structural engineering activities. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah Province, and focuses on water, wastewater, and industrial projects. The role involves developing detailed structural designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with engineering codes, client requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural design calculations for various structures, including concrete and steel water tanks, steel structures, and other concrete structures, based on field data, engineering assumptions, and applicable codes.
• Prepare and review detailed structural design reports in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
• Prepare priced and unpriced Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed project cost estimates.
• Develop project structural specifications and technical documentation.
• Create, review, and coordinate engineering drawings and specifications.
• Guide draftsmen and BIM/modeling teams in producing required tender and design drawings.
• Perform structural calculations, simulations, load assessments, and capacity checks to ensure design accuracy and reliability.
• Carry out civil load/capacity calculations and support the selection and design of appropriate equipment and materials.
• Develop water and wastewater network designs using appropriate engineering software.
• Manage structural engineering activities and coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) for engineering deliverables and project work.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams as required.
• Support project execution and business development activities through effective technical communication and coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team and contribute to effective project planning and delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in concrete structure design engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in structural engineering for water, wastewater, and industrial projects.
• Proficiency in developing detailed structural designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
• Strong understanding of applicable engineering codes, client requirements, and company standards.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and project cost estimates.
• Proficiency in using engineering software for water and wastewater network designs.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for managing engineering activities and interfaces.
• Capability to provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within Rawafid Alhadara, based in Jeddah, Makkah Province. The role requires collaboration with various engineering disciplines, clients, consultants, and project teams.
