About the CORTEX Operations Specialist Role

TawanTech is seeking a CORTEX Operations Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah Province. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on supporting, monitoring, and managing CORTEX application operations within a critical banking environment.

Purpose of the Position

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the continuous availability and operational stability of CORTEX applications. The specialist will be responsible for effective incident resolution and seamless coordination with various technical and business teams to maintain high performance and reliability in a banking context.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily CORTEX operations within the banking environment.
• Monitor CORTEX applications, services, interfaces, and batch processing activities.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Address application alerts, failures, and operational issues in adherence to agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate effectively with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams.
• Support deployment, release, patching, and production change activities.
• Perform regular health checks to ensure high availability and system performance.
• Manage incident, problem, and change requests using ITSM tools.
• Prepare operational reports, incident analysis, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with banking security policies, operational controls, and audit requirements.
• Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CORTEX Operations, Application Support, or Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with CORTEX systems and applications.
• Previous experience within the banking or financial services sector is required.
• Strong knowledge of production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-availability and critical banking production environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• ITIL certification is preferred.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, SQL, databases, and application monitoring tools.
• Understanding of batch processing, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.
• Experience supporting mission-critical banking applications and 24/7 production environments is preferred.

This role operates within a demanding banking production environment that requires high availability and continuous operational stability. The specialist will contribute to maintaining critical systems and ensuring compliance with stringent security and audit requirements.
