About the Role

Flow Progressive Logistics is seeking a Cost Control & Analysis Manager to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is critical for protecting transportation margins and enhancing decision-making through precise job costing, billing readiness, financial forecasts, profitability analysis, and actionable management insights. The manager will lead controls, reconciliations, performance reporting, and cost improvement initiatives.

Role Context and Objectives

The Cost Control & Analysis Manager will work in partnership with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, and Finance departments. The primary objective is to ensure financial accuracy and provide strategic insights, while contract ownership and statutory accounting responsibilities remain with the relevant functional teams. This position is central to maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate customer and supplier rates against approved contracts, identifying and flagging deviations and potential margin risks.
  • Ensure completeness of job costs by shipment, job, and material, including accurate accruals and cost allocation.
  • Coordinate timely customer billing and supplier invoice capture, resolving any workflow exceptions.
  • Perform job-level ERP/TMS reconciliations and support accurate, timely month-end close processes.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial scenarios, providing explanations for rate, volume, mix, productivity, and operational variances.
  • Analyze CM1, GP, and OP performance across various dimensions including customer, lane, shipment, product, and vendor.
  • Produce comprehensive dashboards, trend analyses, and root-cause analyses with clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Lead profitability reviews, initiate corrective actions, drive savings initiatives, and track benefit realization.
  • Manage billing and cost disputes, escalating items that exceed delegated authority.
  • Monitor unbilled revenue, open workflows, and SO/PO gaps through to closure.
  • Design and test controls, maintain evidence, and support audit, compliance, and data-quality reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in transportation or logistics industry is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments within Flow Progressive Logistics.
