About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Facilities Manager, Maintenance & Engineering MENA RME to join its growing operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to Amazon's operations, responsible for all facilities maintenance tasks through direct reports and third-party contractors. The Facilities Manager ensures the high availability of equipment, enabling the Operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily business activities and project initiatives related to facilities maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate records of all activities performed.
• Implement Amazon standards and focus on preventive maintenance to achieve high equipment availability for internal customers.
• Manage local projects and provide support for construction projects as assigned by the manager.
• Develop and design solutions for complex problems and manage external contractors effectively.
• Handle multiple projects and daily activities, ensuring deadlines are met and departmental and distribution goals are achieved.
• Ensure adherence to all safety programs and procedures.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Foster strong working relationships with operations teams and across all levels of the organization.
• Assist in the development, setting, and tracking of budgets.
• Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices within facilities.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, support, and mentor a team of Facilities and Service Technicians, ensuring safe, high-standard, and effective work practices.
• Train, develop, and coach the team to ensure expertise and a strong safety focus.
• Manage and support the training program for the facilities team.
• Identify root causes of problems and provide effective remedies.
• Mentor all facilities associates, providing motivation and direction to help them achieve their goals.
• Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.
• Serve as the main deputy for the facility manager when they are not on site.

Technical Expertise

• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and various wiring methods and materials, in collaboration with the team.
• Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photo eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, servo drives, and frequency inverters, in collaboration with the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance and engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to support multi-site production in a safe, customer-focused manner.
• Highly self-motivated and customer-centric approach to work.

Work Environment

This role supports a 24/7 operation, requiring the Facilities Manager to be prepared to work shifts to maintain close contact with the team and daily work activities. The position also requires being on call for emergencies.
