About the Role

Ghithaa is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage the company’s purchasing and procurement operations. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operations in both Jeddah and Makkah, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will ensure the acquisition of food products and operational supplies meets required quality standards, competitive costs, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and review purchase requests, then prepare purchase orders based on specified requirements and budget.
Negotiate with suppliers, obtain quotations, and conduct comparative analysis of prices and offers.
Follow up on deliveries to ensure compliance with specifications, quantities, and scheduled timelines.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved supplier database.
Coordinate with the warehouse, production, and finance departments to ensure the continuous availability of necessary supplies, preventing both shortages and excess inventory.
Review invoices and verify them against corresponding purchase orders and receiving reports.
Monitor price fluctuations in the market and prepare periodic reports for management.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the food products or operational supplies sector.
Demonstrated ability to manage procurement operations efficiently.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation skills.
Proficiency in evaluating suppliers and managing supplier relationships.
Excellent organizational and follow-up capabilities.
Ability to coordinate effectively with various internal departments.
Attention to detail for invoice verification and report preparation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role based in Makkah, supporting operations across both Jeddah and Makkah. The Purchasing Officer will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure seamless supply chain management.
