The Opportunity: Senior Engineer (FLS)

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer (FLS) to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience, capable of independently managing primary design elements for engineering works and contributing to broader assignments. The Senior Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring project quality, adherence to established standards, and effective communication within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Execute detailed or routine engineering assignments, including calculations and tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures or leveraging methods from previous assignments.
• Identify discrepancies in results and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers on technical concepts and best practices.
• Perform work independently, adhering to agreed budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
• Complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and design specifications for engineering projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and validate engineering solutions against established standards and requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to engineering workflows.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of professional engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and report writing.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and engineering standards.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Experience working effectively within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting budget and schedule constraints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
