Parsons Corporation is seeking a skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and offers the opportunity to work on significant projects within the region.

The Role of Senior Planning Engineer

In this role, the Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cost control, planning, and scheduling functions for one or more larger projects. The position offers involvement in unique hospitality projects within the Kingdom, contributing to resilient, future-ready infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and specialized assistance for resolving complex project control problems.
• Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current project status against established baseline schedules.
• Assess the impact of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Report schedule status to project and Company management, as well as to the client.
• Apply understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) terminology, concepts, and relationships.
• Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
• Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
• Accumulate historical data, including performance experience, for future planning and forecasting.
• Supervise and conduct performance reviews for lower-level Project Control Engineer/Specialists and support personnel.
• Provide input to Senior Project Control Staff regarding staffing requirements.
• Perform other associated responsibilities as appropriate to the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in planning and project controls.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply EPC terminology, concepts, and relationships.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining project schedules and cost control systems.

Reporting and Collaboration

The Senior Planning Engineer will receive supervision from Higher Level Project Control Staff and will provide technical direction to lower-level employees on the project. Internal contacts include all project employees and various Parsons departments, while external interactions will involve clients, suppliers, and government agencies.
