The Role of Demand Forecast Analyst

The Demand Forecast Analyst is responsible for preparing demand forecasts specifically for the Seafood Business. This role focuses on continuously improving forecast accuracy by analyzing various factors, including historical sales patterns, market trends, and seasonality. The analyst will also incorporate past and future events such as sales and marketing plans, economic indicators, weather conditions, government regulations, and competitive activities, utilizing the PROCAST system.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the IBP system, ensuring data integrity, cleanliness, and up-to-date status.
• Reconcile all Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) on a weekly basis, by depot.
• Accurately set up new SKUs and promptly reflect any changes in product or geographic hierarchy within the system.
• Ensure accurate capture of future and past events within the IBP system.
• Update rolling 18-month forecasts weekly-monthly, specifying by week, depot, and SKU.
• Submit and integrate regional/local level events into the forecast through a bottom-up forecasting approach.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar business planning or forecasting role.
• Prior experience within a chilled Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) multi-SKU environment is preferred.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, with opportunities in Makkah, King Abdullah Economic City, and Rabigh.
