About the Role

Worley is seeking a dedicated HSE Supervisor to join their team in Turaif, Northern Frontier. This full-time position contributes to the company's mission of assisting customers in the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors to address significant global challenges.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Project HSE Management System (HSEMS), ensuring adherence to company procedures, client standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves promoting a positive safety culture through visible leadership and workforce engagement, supporting project management in achieving HSE objectives and KPIs, and monitoring contractor compliance with approved HSE plans and procedures.

Key duties include conducting daily site inspections of work areas, equipment, and facilities to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and environmental risks. The supervisor will monitor corrective and preventive actions to closure, participate in internal and external HSE audits, and verify compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements. Risk management activities involve facilitating Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Task Risk Assessments (TRA), and Hazard Identification (HAZID) to ensure risks are assessed and controlled before work execution. This includes monitoring critical and high-risk activities such as work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, electrical isolation (LOTO), mobile equipment operations, and blasting/mining activities where applicable.

Furthermore, the role entails investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions. Maintaining accurate HSE records and documentation, preparing regular HSE reports and statistics, and monitoring leading and lagging HSE performance indicators are also essential. The supervisor will conduct HSE inductions, deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings, coach personnel on safe work practices, and promote hazard reporting and behavioral safety programs. Environmental management responsibilities include monitoring environmental compliance, ensuring proper waste management and housekeeping, and overseeing controls for dust, noise, emissions, and spill prevention. Emergency preparedness involves participating in response planning and drills, ensuring emergency equipment readiness, and coordinating response activities when required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Preferred professional certifications include a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA Construction Safety Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification, and Incident Investigation Training.

Experience is required in construction, mining, infrastructure, industrial, or oil & gas projects. Experience working on EPC/EPCM projects is preferred, along with strong site-based experience with major contractors or consultants.
