BI Specialist

About the Role

Al Salama Hospital is seeking a BI Specialist to join its ICT team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operations also in Jeddah. The role focuses on developing and maintaining business intelligence and reporting solutions to transform hospital data into actionable insights for clinical, administrative, and leadership teams.

Role Purpose

The BI Specialist will be responsible for translating complex hospital data into clear, accurate reports and dashboards. This involves supporting critical decision-making processes across various departments by ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
• Develop, manage, and monitor SSIS projects and ETL processes.
• Support system and device integrations with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and troubleshoot data flow issues.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with established best practices.
• Provide training to end-users and offer guidance to the BI and Data Analyst.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in developing BI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, ETL, and Power Automate is preferred.
• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the ICT team at Al Salama Hospital, located in Makkah. The role involves collaboration with various hospital departments to support data-driven decision-making.
