About the Role

CoorB is seeking a Business Architect to define and maintain business architecture across banking environments. This contract role, based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, involves ensuring alignment between business strategy, capabilities, processes, operating models, and enterprise architecture. The Business Architect will support transformation initiatives by defining current and target states, identifying architecture gaps, and translating business objectives into clear architectural requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Business Architecture models, standards, and documentation.
Define business capabilities and maintain business capability maps.
Develop current-state (baseline) and target-state Business Architecture.
Conduct gap and impact analysis between current and target states.
Translate business strategy and objectives into business capabilities and architectural requirements.
Map key business processes, value streams, and operating models.
Ensure business requirements are aligned with Enterprise Architecture.
Assess the business impact of proposed technology and transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and technology teams.
Support transformation initiatives and business capability roadmaps.
Identify business, process, capability, and technology dependencies and impacts.
Participate in architecture governance, reviews, and approval processes.
Maintain Business Architecture principles, standards, and governance documentation.
Ensure alignment with applicable banking, regulatory, and SAMA requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
More than 10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of experience specifically in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis, or related roles.
TOGAF, BIZBOK, CBAP, or similar certification is preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience

Strong experience in business capability mapping and Business Architecture modeling.
Proven experience defining current-state, target-state, and conducting gap analysis.
Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture, business processes, and operating models.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
Experience working in a SAMA-regulated environment is an advantage.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a contract position based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and technology teams to ensure solutions align with governance and applicable SAMA requirements within the banking sector.
