About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Cluster Training Manager to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for aligning all training and development activities with the organization's mission and vision. The Cluster Training Manager will work with property leadership to identify and address employee and organizational development needs, ensuring effective training programs are in place to achieve desired business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee training programs, promoting and informing employees about all available programs.
• Lead by example in guest hospitality, demonstrating excellent customer service and fostering a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
• Guide employees in identifying specific behaviors that contribute to service excellence and ensure ongoing training to meet guest expectations.
• Utilize effective training methods to ensure employees understand and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.
• Regularly meet with the training cadre to support training efforts and observe employee service behaviors, providing feedback to individuals and managers.

Training Program Development and Evaluation

• Monitor enrollment and attendance in training classes and meet with participants to assess progress and address concerns.
• Partner with operational leaders to evaluate if employees are demonstrating effective technical and leadership skills.
• Review guest feedback, satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas for improvement and measure the transfer of learning from training to operations.
• Ensure adult learning principles are integrated into all training programs.
• Identify performance gaps and collaborate with managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance.
• Align current training and development programs to effectively impact key business indicators and develop specific training to enhance service performance.

Budget Management

• Participate in the development of the training budget as required.
• Manage the budget in alignment with Human Resources and property financial goals.
• Control departmental expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role requires a professional who can conduct needs assessments, design and develop training programs, and facilitate the delivery of both custom and corporate training initiatives. Measuring the effectiveness of training to ensure a return on investment is a key aspect of this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the hospitality industry. The Cluster Training Manager will be an integral part of the property leadership team, driving company values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
