The Role: Housekeeping Order Taker - Saudi Talent

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a Housekeeping Order Taker to join the team in Makkah. This full-time position is open to Saudi talent. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all communication within and outside the Housekeeping Office, ensuring the department operates efficiently and supports guest-focused service delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to customer service and an ability to provide effective solutions to guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard, record, and collect all keys and documents held within the Housekeeping Office.
• Ensure the proper sorting of all daily activity reports within the department.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly, adhering to established telephone etiquette and standards.
• Record all incoming calls, disseminate messages accurately, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Manage all aspects of Lost & Found items, including receiving, recording, storage, claiming, and clearing procedures.
• Maintain and update all housekeeping files and records.
• Generate and print the Opera system's room discrepancy report twice daily (morning and afternoon), submitting copies to the Accounts and Front Office departments.
• Coordinate baby-sitting services for guests and prepare attendance sheets for monthly payroll processing.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the Housekeeping Office are consistently maintained.
• Clear all outdated reports on a monthly basis, in accordance with hotel standards for record keeping.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. Essential skills include strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to professional telephone etiquette. Familiarity with hotel operational systems, such as Opera, is beneficial for managing daily reports and discrepancies.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah. The role operates within the Housekeeping department, requiring consistent interaction with various hotel departments and guests to ensure seamless service delivery.
