About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Maintenance Rooms Preventative professional to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves performing planned preventive maintenance across guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, ensuring all facilities meet operational standards. The position requires less than one year of related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and public spaces as required.
• Tasks include turning and inspecting mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and under furniture, and removing stains from carpets and upholstery.
• Conduct dusting, paint touch-ups, and furniture touch-ups.
• Ensure all fixtures and appliances are present and fully functional, replace light fixtures, and inspect grouts and caulks.
• Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms according to property preventive room maintenance procedures and standards.
• Execute minor miscellaneous repairs such as adjusting loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and filling holes in walls.
• Perform general cleaning of all guest room surfaces, including bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
• Immediately communicate serious maintenance issues, unusual discoveries, or safety hazards to the manager or supervisor.

Operational Duties and Compliance

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Receive and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address their service needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards for all work performed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, crawling, and stooping.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds (* kg) or less without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing more than 50 pounds (* kg).
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• License or Certification: None specified.
