Maintenance Helper

About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking a Maintenance-Helper to join their team in Medina. This full-time position is responsible for performing a variety of minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Address minor plumbing issues, including unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets.
• Execute miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, which includes cleaning and lubrication.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and respond appropriately to their concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds (*, A/C unit, television, dresser).
• Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to perform minor plumbing and general repair tasks.
• Understanding and adherence to safety and security procedures.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, requiring active participation in maintaining the facility and ensuring guest satisfaction.
