Maintenance Section Head

About the Role

Americana Foods is seeking a Maintenance Section Head to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of production assets within the food manufacturing environment. The position involves leading maintenance activities and managing industrial utilities to minimize downtime and enhance overall equipment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance operations.
• Work to minimize equipment downtime and improve asset reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures.
• Manage industrial utilities, including refrigeration systems, boilers, compressors, HVAC, water treatment, and electrical systems.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and coordinate planned shutdowns.
• Drive initiatives related to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Support equipment upgrades, automation projects, and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) implementation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance, with a preference for experience in Cake & Cookies, FMCG, or Food Manufacturing sectors.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
• Strong practical experience with automated production lines, packaging equipment, and industrial utilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of TPM, RCA, preventive/predictive maintenance techniques, GMP, and HACCP.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFDs, and automation systems is preferred.

Work Location

This position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with potential work in Jeddah. It is a full-time role within Americana Foods.
