The Role of Pro Paint Technician

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Pro Paint Technician for its BYD Body Shop in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for executing high-quality paint repair and refinishing on vehicles within the workshop. The technician will ensure all work adheres to manufacturer standards and contributes to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality paint repair and refinishing on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Minimize return jobs and repeat repairs to ensure consistent quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors, foremen, other staff, and customers to ensure work explanations are clearly understood.
• Provide constructive input to enhance efficiency in work methods, the work environment, tools, and equipment.
• Achieve targeted sold hours per month to contribute to branch performance objectives.
• Deliver technical input and complete each job precisely according to manufacturer specifications to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Stay updated with product developments to effectively address complex automobile repairs and issues.

Performance Metrics and Expectations

Success in this role is measured through the minimization of repeat repairs, achievement of targeted sold hours per month, and positive customer feedback. The Pro Paint Technician is expected to embody Al-Futtaim values, maintain effective communication with both internal staff and clients, and actively propose improvements for overall workshop efficiency.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Paint Technician or in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality paint repair and refinishing.
• Proficiency in adhering to manufacturer standards and specifications.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
• A proactive approach to identifying and suggesting improvements for operational efficiency.
