The Opportunity: Senior Storage Administrator

Avensys Consulting is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to join its team on a contract basis in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a professional with 8+ years of experience in enterprise storage, data center infrastructure, and backup environments, focusing on the administration and optimization of storage systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage, including LUNs, RAID configurations, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
• Perform storage provisioning, replication, backup, and snapshot operations.
• Monitor storage performance and conduct troubleshooting to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Oversee storage capacity planning and management.
• Support multi-site data centers and critical production environments.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and manage infrastructure changes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise Storage, Data Center Infrastructure, and Backup environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAN/NAS storage administration within enterprise data center environments.
• Proficiency in managing storage capacity, performance, availability, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix, and their integration with enterprise storage.
• Hands-on experience with backup and storage technologies including Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, or Synology NAS.
• Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery, Recovery Point Objective (RPO), Recovery Time Objective (RTO), and data protection principles.
• Experience with Azure Storage and Azure Backup is considered an advantage.

Essential Skills

• Good knowledge of SAN, NAS, storage connectivity, and high-availability storage environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
