Stakeholder Manager (Saudi national)

About the Role

WSP is seeking a Stakeholder Manager (Saudi national) to join its Transport & Infrastructure team in Makkah. This full-time role involves leading stakeholder engagement for major infrastructure and transportation design projects. The successful candidate will ensure effective communication and collaboration among project teams, government authorities, utility providers, clients, and key project stakeholders.

Role Context

This position focuses on supporting project delivery through proactive stakeholder management and relationship building. The Stakeholder Manager will contribute to significant transport and infrastructure developments within the Kingdom, ensuring alignment and coordination across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stakeholder management and communication strategies for major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Identify, map, analyze, and maintain stakeholder registers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain relationships with government entities, municipalities, regulatory authorities, utility providers, clients, and community representatives.
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, presentations, and consultation sessions.
• Manage stakeholder risks, issues, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
• Facilitate approvals, permits, and coordination requirements with relevant authorities and utility agencies.
• Support project teams in obtaining stakeholder buy-in for design solutions and project initiatives.
• Prepare stakeholder engagement reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, and executive-level updates.
• Monitor stakeholder commitments and ensure actions are tracked and closed effectively.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, design managers, discipline leads, and clients to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, project governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in stakeholder management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with diverse groups of stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role is based in Makkah and is a full-time position within WSP's Transport & Infrastructure team. The Stakeholder Manager will work closely with various internal and external parties to achieve project objectives.
