About the Role

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu is seeking a Staff Nurse - III for the Female Surgical Ward in Yanbu. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on providing comprehensive patient care and adhering to established medical protocols and organizational values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform holistic basic and bedside patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission, gathering medical history and current condition information.
  • Develop individualized nursing care plans under supervision, based on assessment data and patient preferences.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to therapy, intervening promptly as needed.
  • Provide individualized patient and family education regarding health conditions and self-care strategies.
  • Document patient assessment findings, interventions, and progress accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control methods and protocols to ensure a safe healthcare environment.

Organizational and Administrative Duties

  • Adhere to and promote the organization's mission, ethics, and goals, including customer service, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Comply with RCMC policies and procedures, reviewing them annually.
  • Monitor compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies, taking action to correct non-compliance.
  • Attend and actively participate in assigned committee meetings and departmental meetings (75% attendance required).
  • Maintain RCMC annual competencies and demonstrate ongoing continuous education.
  • Prepare reports as required and adhere to the RCMC dress code and identification policy.
  • Maintain organizational confidentiality and an excellent attendance record.
  • Integrate trans-cultural principles into nursing care.
  • Report any negative, abnormal, or unexpected events/incidents by filling the Electronic Occurrence Variance Report (EOVR).

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Communicate empathetically with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education.
  • Maintain a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all staff.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and educational sessions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Seek feedback from preceptors and supervisors for professional growth.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
  • Knowledge of clinical aspects related to the surgical ward.
  • Ability to apply basic nursing procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining regulatory requirements, including national and JCI regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records.

Work Environment

This role is based in Yanbu and involves working within a dedicated team in the Female Surgical Ward. The Staff Nurse will be expected to uphold professional standards and contribute to a safe and effective healthcare environment.
