About DAR Engineering

DAR Engineering is a prominent design and engineering consulting organization based in Saudi Arabia. The company specializes in various sectors, including Power Generation, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, Health Care, and High-Rise Buildings. They are currently seeking to strengthen their drafting team with a skilled Electrical Draftsman.

Role Overview

The Electrical Draftsman will be a full-time member of the drafting team, primarily responsible for drafting and detailing works related to Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. This role involves close coordination with engineers and adherence to established quality standards and project timelines. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform drafting, detailing, and scheduling tasks as instructed by the Lead Engineer and Engineer.
• Support the project team in delivering project outputs.
• Ensure the timely production and quality of assigned drafting works.
• Assist project engineers with Bill of Quantity (BOQ) take-offs.
• Manage the printing and organization of submittals, ensuring all required Quality Management System (QMS) documentation is included.
• Coordinate with support staff for the completion of submittals.
• Record the delivery of submittals for assigned activities.

Assistance and Support

• Provide assistance to management as requested.
• Support Lead Engineers and Engineers in developing project deliverables.
• Assist the Senior Designer in the development of drafting standards.
• Contribute to day-to-day department operations when necessary.

Quality Assurance and Accountability

• Adhere to QA/QC drawing standards and facilitate information exchange with other disciplines.
• Review drafting issues and maintain QA/QC records.
• Ensure drafting compliance with project requirements.
• Plan effectively to meet delivery schedules and ensure accuracy and timeliness of outputs.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks to ensure timely delivery.
