Bank of Jordan is seeking a Head of IT for its operations in KSA. This full-time role involves overseeing IT systems and infrastructure across the Bank’s Saudi branches, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Role Purpose

The Head of IT is responsible for the operational oversight of IT systems within the Bank’s Saudi branches. This includes implementing IT plans and supporting the development and enhancement of the technology infrastructure. The position ensures the availability, performance, continuity, and efficiency of banking systems, payment platforms, applications, databases, networks, and related infrastructure, while adhering to the Bank’s IT strategy, policies, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in developing IT policies and procedures for Saudi branches, coordinating with Head Office IT.
• Implement approved IT strategy, annual objectives, and operational plans within agreed budgets, in coordination with Head Office IT and the CEO – Saudi Branches.
• Lead and supervise the IT team, setting annual objectives, monitoring performance, evaluating employees, and supporting professional development.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of IT systems, hardware, services, and technology solutions, including technical and financial assessment of vendor proposals.
• Oversee data backup activities and ensure business continuity, managing the primary data center and disaster recovery site, and maintaining effective connectivity and data synchronization.
• Assess current and future business and user requirements, coordinating the development and enhancement of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Regularly monitor the availability, reliability, continuity, and performance of information systems, communication platforms, operating systems, networks, and related technology infrastructure.
• Review and analyze system incidents, preparing reports covering banking systems, payment applications, databases, backup solutions, and communication systems, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
• Stay informed of technological developments and ensure appropriate information security, confidentiality, and protection measures are applied across systems, devices, and networks.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service requirements, and agreed timelines.
• Ensure daily IT operations adhere to approved policies, procedures, controls, and delegated authorities.
• Review operational and control reports, as well as internal and external audit findings, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, preferably within the banking sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead IT operations and manage technical teams.
• Strong understanding of IT strategy implementation, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with data center management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

This is a full-time position based in KSA.
