Waad Education is an educational institution committed to fostering a supportive learning environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to ensure the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure within a school setting.

The Role of IT Support Officer

The IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in providing essential daily technical support to staff and students. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining all IT systems and equipment, ensuring that technology effectively supports educational activities and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, projectors, and smart boards.
• Support school networks, email services, Microsoft 365, and various educational systems.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licenses, and asset inventories.
• Assist with technology setup and support for classroom activities, examinations, and school events.
• Implement basic cybersecurity measures, ensure data protection, and manage regular system updates.
• Manage and follow up on all IT support requests and incidents efficiently.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors as needed for specialized support or services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in IT support.
• Prior experience within a school environment is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, hardware components, and basic networking principles.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills to interact professionally with users.
• Ability to perform under pressure and provide consistent, professional support.
