Sr. Technical Professional Pipeline

About the Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Technical Professional Pipeline to join their team in the Eastern region. This full-time role involves the study, design, and specification of pipelines, encompassing various technical aspects from route selection to installation techniques. The position requires an individual capable of independent evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques, addressing complex design requirements, and providing technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of pipeline engineering, including selection and layout of routes, field surveys, material selection, coating systems, cathodic protection, leak detection, and design of valve, terminal, and pump stations.
• Devise new approaches to problems encountered in pipeline design and implementation.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Address complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Lead a functional area on small projects or a segment of larger projects, including planning, budgeting, organizing, coordinating, and controlling project activities.
• Conduct employee performance appraisals and provide coaching and development for junior professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of related experience, with average experience typically ranging from 6 to 10 years, is necessary to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
• Requires a broad knowledge of engineering precedents.
• Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
