Technical Manager

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Technical Manager to join their team. This is a full-time position focused on managing complex technical projects and overseeing technical teams. The role involves ensuring detailed technical investigation, design, and optimization, maintaining liaison with statutory authorities, and producing necessary documentation and drawings to maximize efficiency and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at driving technical excellence and operational efficiency. These responsibilities include:

• Providing support for the implementation of technical strategy and operational goals to meet customer expectations for product development, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Identifying and resolving technical design and constructional problems.
• Ensuring a safe working environment within company workplaces and applying the Company Health and Safety Policy.
• Managing the technical team on project sites, providing direction, strategy, and daily/weekly/monthly tasks and work plans.
• Maintaining good relationships with all project key stakeholders and technical team members.
• Increasing the efficiency of the technical team's performance through effective approaches.
• Ensuring the quality of deliverables while managing staff budgets efficiently.
• Contributing to strategic decisions and directions for projects.

Project Management and Oversight

This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently. The Technical Manager will oversee the technical team, reviewing their work and guiding them to achieve project objectives. A key aspect is ensuring that all technical investigations, designs, and optimizations are thoroughly conducted.

Stakeholder Engagement

Maintaining effective communication and strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including statutory authorities, is essential. The Technical Manager will ensure proper liaison is maintained and that all necessary documentation and drawings are produced accurately and efficiently.

Team Leadership

The Technical Manager will lead and guide the technical team, providing clear directions and fostering an environment that promotes efficiency and technical excellence. This includes setting tasks, developing work plans, and supporting team members in achieving their goals.
