About the Role

Tamara is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a key area within its engineering organization in Riyadh. This full-time role involves accountability for the delivery and technical strategy across multiple complex and related product domains. The Engineering Manager II will lead a team of 6-10 senior engineers, potentially structured into two squads, driving the execution of team-level goals aligned with broader organizational priorities. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspire and guide senior engineers, setting clear direction aligned with the company vision.
• Drive alignment between technology goals and product priorities, advocating for long-term technical quality and short-term delivery.
• Develop direct reports and skip-levels for future leadership roles, creating growth opportunities for senior engineers.
• Lead architectural discussions for team systems and drive continuous improvements in reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Define and own delivery plans for initiatives spanning multiple teams, managing resource allocation and hiring strategy.
• Partner with Product and business leadership to influence medium- and long-term product strategies.
• Foster a healthy, inclusive environment of trust, ownership, and accountability within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in software development and proven leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to guide architectural evolution of systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience in managing complex cross-team dependencies and driving technical excellence.
• Ability to influence medium- and long-term strategy and ensure teams focus on measurable impact.
• A solution-oriented approach, with the ability to persevere and find ways through challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams through empathy and respect.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves leading a high-performing team of 6-10 senior engineers and collaborating closely with peer Engineering Managers and the architecture board to ensure alignment across the engineering organization.
